Perpustakaan Digital Berbasiskan Raspberry Pi
Lecturers and students of Information System Department from Bina Nusantara University, Edward Evannov Santo Wiguna, Hendry Lie and Rinda Hedwig built a Digital Library device on mini computer Raspberry Pi.
The purpose of Digital Library is to increase children interest in reading especialy in rural and inland that have no internet access and unstable electrical voltage
This library consists of 1 piece of server, 4 pieces of clients and more than 1400 contents in form of e-book or video from various sources. The advantages of Digital Library are: only using 55 watt in total, resistant to an unstable electrical voltage and it’s content could be accessed without internet.
This library has been launched on September 21st 2018 at Junior Highschool 2 Sipahutar, Onan Runggu village, North Tapanuli, North Sumatera and it became teachers and students’ favorite. Digital Library is expected to be spread all over Indonesia as a part of library development in regions.
