AIRDC Team Reviews The Smart Truck Prototype Funded by BPDPKS

On 22nd October 2025, BINUS AI Research and Development Center (AIRDC) team (Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, M.Kom., Matthew Martianus Henry, S.Kom, and Teddy Suparyanto) have a site visit to a welding workshop in Nanggulan, Yogyakarta, to review a product prototype. This welding workshop is responsible for constructing a conveyor as part of the smart truck for loading fresh palm oil fruit bunches (FFB). The smart truck prototype is the output of an in-cash research grant from Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS), with a nominal of Rp 1 million. BINUS University, along with Sanata Dharma University, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University, and INSTIPER Yogyakarta, are collaborators of this research grant. Currently, the four collaborators are developing the second version of the prototype. The second version will ease the mobilization of the smart truck conveyor and weighing system.
