Innovation Award 2020

On Tuesday, October 13, 2020, The Top 3 Innovation Award 2020 Selection was virtually conducted by BINUS Knowledge Management. At this event, the Artificial Intelligence Research and Development Center (AIRDC) participated as one of the 15 finalists. The lead researcher of AIRDC, Wawan Cenggoro, presented an innovative product entitled Automatic Physical Distance Monitoring System Using CCTV Cameras and Artificial Intelligence.

AIRDC introduced an automated system that monitors physical distancing protocols in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the goals of this automatic monitoring system is to support the efforts to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. With CCTV and Artificial Intelligence, the system is capable to automatically detect any physical distancing protocol violation in the surveillance area.
