NVIDIA DLI Workshop with BINUS University @Semarang

On Monday, 12 October 2026, the AI Research and Development Center (AIRDC), in collaboration with Research and Community Development (RCD) of BINUS University @Semarang, organized an NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) workshop. The event began with welcoming remarks from Dr. Choirul Huda, S.Kom., M.M., Deputy Campus Director of BINUS University @Semarang, who highlighted opportunities for students and faculty members to engage in research collaboration. This was followed by remarks from Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Director of AIRDC, who officially opened the workshop and emphasized the importance of research. He also encouraged participants to utilize AIRDC’s computational resources to support their research activities. Nur Sitha Afrilia, S.S., M.S., representing Research and Community Development at BINUS University @Semarang, also delivered remarks highlighting the collaboration between RCD and AIRDC in organizing the workshop.

Following the opening, the workshop was led by Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, S.Kom., M.Kom., a certified NVIDIA DLI Instructor, with Jason Sebastian Sulistyawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., serving as the teaching assistant. The 50 participants, comprising students and faculty members, were divided into two computer laboratories for practical training. The workshop concluded with interactive discussions and hands-on exercises that strengthened participants’ understanding of deep learning and its potential applications in research. Through this initiative, participants were encouraged to apply AI and deep learning technologies to address research challenges and develop innovative solutions.
