AIRDC Team Attends Pekan Riset Sawit Indonesia 2026
On 21 July 2026, BINUS AI Research and Development Center (AIRDC) team, consisting of Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, M.Kom., Jason Sebastian Sulistyawan, S.Kom., M.Kom., and Alyssa Imani, S.Kom., S.Mat., attended Pekan Riset Sawit Indonesia 2026 at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta. During the event, the team explored the research exhibition, which showcased various innovations in the palm oil industry, including the Smart Truck prototype developed under a research grant funded by the Badan Pengelola Dana Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (BPDPKS). As a research collaborator, BINUS University through AIRDC contributes to the development of intelligent technologies for the Smart Truck, including digital weighing, GPS-based tracking, data acquisition, and information systems for strategic fresh fruit bunch (FFB) evacuation management.
The event also provided an opportunity for the AIRDC team to meet with Dr. Ir. Andreas W. Krisdiarto, M.Eng., Head of the Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of INSTIPER and the Principal Investigator of the project. The discussion focused on the current progress of the Smart Truck project and future research directions, reinforcing the ongoing collaboration between BINUS University and INSTIPER in advancing intelligent technologies for the palm oil industry.
