After the success at Imelda University Medan, the Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Ambassador Workshop takes place at Murni Teguh University on November 22, 2024. The workshop is the result of a research collaboration between BDSRC | AIRDC and Murni Teguh Hospital. It carries the theme AI for Health and is attended by 31 participants, including doctors, lecturers, staff, and students.
The workshop begins with remarks from Dr. Chandra Situmeang, S.E., M.S.M., M.Pd., Ak., CA, the rector of Murni Teguh University, and dr. Bangbang Buhari, representing Murni Teguh Hospital. In his remarks, Dr. Chandra expresses his hope that this workshop encourages the application of AI in the health sector, strengthens cooperation between educational institutions and hospitals, and produces innovations that improve the quality of health services.
dr. Bangbang Buhari adds that the application of AI is not only important for diagnosing diseases faster and more accurately but also for developing a more efficient medical data management system. He hopes that participants utilize the knowledge gained in their daily practice, both in research and healthcare services.
During the workshop, participants gain a deep understanding of the principles of deep learning and its application in the healthcare sector. In addition to theoretical materials, a hands-on coding session is held, where participants learn to process medical data using deep learning algorithms guided by Mahmud Isnan, M.Eng., and Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho.
The workshop concludes with an interactive discussion, where participants have the opportunity to share their views and experiences on the challenges and opportunities of implementing AI in their institutions.
