Tipobio is Harvested at Lembang, Bandung, West Java, to Ensure a Continuous Supply of High-Quality Raw Materials
On April 17-19, 2024, three days were dedicated to harvesting the Rodent Tuber (Typhonium flagelliforme) Tipobio variety in Lembang, Bandung, West Java. A team of BINUS Business and Technological Innovation professionals, including Elioenai Sitepu, Ph.D., Desri Fatimah Natalia Tambunan, S.E., M.I.Kom., a staff member on Intellectual Property, Hendy Risdianto Wijaya, a technology transfer specialist, and Dr. Sianipar, Nesti F., S.P., M.Si., a Head of Food Biotechnology Research Center, collects tubers and educates the public on their health benefits. Authenticity and sustainability were brought to the project by the local Lembang farmers. We have initiated a seed planting program to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials for our standardized herbal medicine products and functional beverages. These standardized herbal products have the potential to significantly impact the market by offering a reliable and sustainable source of natural health remedies. With growing consumer interest in herbal and functional beverages, our products can cater to this demand by providing high-quality, scientifically-backed alternatives. This initiative supports local agriculture and positions our brand as a leader in the health and wellness industry. By implementing the seed planting program, we ensure the continuous regeneration of Rodent Tuber crops, preventing overharvesting and the depletion of natural resources. This method maintains ecological balance and guarantees a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials for our products. Additionally, the program empowers local farmers with sustainable farming practices, promoting long-term agricultural viability in the region.
