Initiation of Research Collaboration Opportunities through Online Benchmarking Activities with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah
TANGERANG – An initiative to collaborate with Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) has been made. On Tuesday (22/08/2023), Dr. Mohd Hasbi Bin Ab Rahim, Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Sciences and Technology, conducted an online meeting attended by Dr. Nesti F. Sianipar, S.P., M.Si as head of Food Biotechnology Research Center, Prof. Idris Gautama So, S.E., S.Kom., M.M., Ph.D., and Khoirunnisa Assidqi, S.Pi., M.Si from FBRC-Bina Nusantara University. A brief explanation of the FBRC is given prior to the presentation of the cooperation plan. Head of the Food Biotechnology Research Center Dr. Nesti F. Sianipar, S.P., M.Si discussed the unit profile, research that has been carried out, publications that have been produced, and research areas that will be proposed for joint research. Several research project plans were also shared at UMPSA, which was attended by several lecturer and research staff members. Research project leaders from UMPSA, such as Dr. Noor Suhana, Dr. Mohd Fadhizil Fasihi, and Dr. Nina Suhaity Azmi, presented collaboration materials. Research activities performed by the joint team of faculty researchers at UMPSA as well as research collaboration areas were discussed. The attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. The research project leaders also provided an update on the progress of the research projects. The UMPSA team committed to continuing the research collaboration. The research collaboration plan emphasizes cancer studies as a primary concern. Cancer research has been conducted at FBRC BINUS and UMPSA for many years. Through this research collaboration, it is hoped that a new relationship can be formed between FBRC BINUS and UMPSA. FBRC BINUS is also planning a direct visit to UMPSA to see its research facilities up close. Later, these laboratories can be used. To ensure that both parties have common goals and plans for the research collaboration.
