Konferensi Komunikasi Pariwisata 4.0

“Komunikasi Pariwisata 4.0” a national conference that presented by IDIK (Ikatan Doktor Ilmu Komunikasi) was helded for two days, August 30th and 31st 2019 at National Library of Indonesia Building.

There are 3 speakers of this conference, Rudiantra, S.Stat, MBA (Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika RI), was represented by Prof. Dr. Henri Subiakto, SH, MA

Dr. Ir. Arief Yahya, M.Sc (Menteri Pariwisata RI), was represented by Mr. Don Kardono

and Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.Sos, SH, M.Si. (Dean of Fikom UNPAD Bandung).

The scope of this conference were about “Tourism”, such as media and tourism issue, ecotourism and environmental conservation, halal tourism, ethics, moral and tourism policy, tourism and culture, a tourism disaster, travel insurance and safety, tourism marketing and promotion, tourism entrepreneur, and tourism creativity.

On Saturday, August 31st 2019, one of RIG Members, Bhernadetta Pravita Wahyuningtyas, S. Sos., M.Si. was present the research paper about “Komunikasi Lintas Budaya dan Entrepreneurship pada Program Studi Destinasi Pariwisata Universitas Bina Nusantara Jakarta”, that written by Dr. Dra Ulani Yunus, MM (Leader of RIG CrossComm), Bhernadetta Pravita Wahyuningtyas, S. Sos., M.Si., and Mario Nugroho Willyarto, S. Kom., M.Pd.

This research portrays about how cross-cultural communication and entrepreneurship occur through activities in the Tourism Destination study program in Bina Nusantara University.

Intercultural Communication have to be embedded in tourism activity, for understanding another culture is a must in tourism.

The whole conference and discussion was very interesting and inspiring. Hopefully, we, as Indonesian people will be able to preserve and converse Indonesia’s tourism.
