Summary

Transactions of goods and services between people, including in the digital world, often contain possibilities that lead to corrupt acts.  “Anti-Corruption” is easy to say, even campaigned for. RIG Consumer Behavior and Digital Ethics (CBDE) chooses a courageous path of carrying out in-depth, multidisciplinary investigations into the dynamics of corruption around us, and produces some models of corrupt behavior.

Product Impact

RIG CBDE Leader listed an intellectual property right in the form of a video game entitled “Decision Making Game in the Context of Corruption Game”. The RIG Leader delivered an international keynote speech on “The Psychology of Corruption: How far we have moved in research“, as well as Anti-Corruption Psychoeducation at the Indonesian Ministry of Finance. Research products will also be used by the Corruption Eradication Commission.

Product Uniqeness

Video games and various anti-corruption psycho-education based on in-depth research produced by the RIG CBDE have not been widely pursued by other parties, especially in the Indonesian context, which is known for its collectivity of people who tend not to be open to discussing and dismantling corrupt behavior around them. The measurement of corruption tendencies carried out by the RIG CBDE uniquely encourages the formation of a new culture in fighting corruption.

There are three elements in the corruption detection game, namely: (1) Reciprocity, (2) Bribery that causes public harm, and (3) Severe punishment.
