MoA Signing Between BINUS University and Universitas Widya Gama Malang

On 1 October 2026, BINUS University and Universitas Widya Gama Malang officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to strengthen collaboration in research and innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The MoA was signed by Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer (RTT), BINUS University, and Fitri Marisa, S.Kom., M.Pd., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTI), Universitas Widya Gama Malang. During the signing ceremony, BINUS University was represented by Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Director of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), while Universitas Widya Gama Malang was represented by Aviv Yuniar Rahman, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., Head of the Undergraduate Informatics Engineering Study Program. The ceremonial signing was attended by lecturers from FSTI Universitas Widya Gama Malang, as well as Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, S.Kom., M.Kom., Research Associate, and Alyssa Imani, S.Kom., S.Mat., Research Assistant from BDSRC.

Following the signing ceremony, the participants engaged in a discussion session aimed at strengthening future research collaboration. The session included introductions from FSTI lecturers along with presentations of their respective research interests, providing opportunities to identify potential areas for joint research. BDSRC also shared its history, research activities, and ongoing initiatives in Artificial Intelligence and data science. The discussion concluded with an initial roadmap planning session to outline collaborative programs that will be implemented under the newly established agreement, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing impactful AI research and innovation.
