Djamuformatics: Indonesian Medicinal Plant and Traditional Medicine Database
This project is a collaborative research between the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC) at Bina Nusantara University, Yayasan Jamu Tradisional Indonesia (JATI), and PT Mega Medica Pharmaceuticals (MMP) to develop Djamuformatics, a database providing comprehensive information on Indonesian medicinal plants and their traditional uses. The platform integrates manually curated plant feature data from scientific publications with information from the PubChem database to provide detailed descriptions of plant metabolites and their properties. The developed database is designed to support the exploration, documentation, and knowledge management of Indonesia’s medicinal plant resources and traditional medicine knowledge. Djamuformatics is expected to facilitate researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders in accessing structured and scientifically curated information for research and development in herbal medicine and pharmaceutical applications.
