BINUS University and PT Sari Teknologi Global Explore Collaboration in AI and Robotics

On Wednesday, 29 July 2026, BINUS University participated in an industry collaboration meeting with PT Sari Teknologi Global at RoboPark Indonesia, Pluit Village, Jakarta, as part of the Visiting Professor Programme involving Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. The meeting was attended by Yohanes Kurnia, S.T., M.M. from PT Sari Teknologi Global, Zewdie Mossie Erukneh, Ph.D. from Debre Markos University, and representatives from BINUS University, including Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Director of the Bioinformatics & Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), Dr. I Gede Putra Kusuma Negara, Head of the Master of Computer Science Study Program, Dr. Hendy Risdianto Wijaya, Senior Technology Transfer Specialist, and Dr. Alexander Agung Santoso Gunawan from the GeoEco-AI Research Interest Group (RIG). The meeting was also attended by Dr. Endang Djuana from the Center for Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology (CAPTIVATE), Universitas Trisakti, and Dr. Arief Suriadi Budiman from Oregon Institute of Technology, USA. The event brought together representatives from academia and industry to discuss opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, and technology innovation. 

The program commenced with a guided tour of RoboPark Indonesia, where participants explored a range of AI-powered robotic technologies developed by PT Sari Teknologi Global for applications in education, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and public services. During the visit, participants observed service robots, humanoid robots, and other intelligent technologies designed to support industrial and educational environments. The tour was followed by a presentation from Yohanes Kurnia, S.T., M.M., who shared the company’s vision and ongoing developments in AI-powered service robots, humanoid robotics, and Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS). He also highlighted PT Sari Teknologi Global’s initiatives in AI education, professional certification, and industrial implementation, while emphasizing the importance of collaboration between industry and universities to strengthen research, develop AI talent, and accelerate the adoption of intelligent technologies across multiple sectors. 

The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion involving representatives from BINUS University, Debre Markos University, Universitas Trisakti, Oregon Institute of Technology, and PT Sari Teknologi Global. The discussion explored opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence, robotics, technology transfer, education, and interdisciplinary research. Participants exchanged ideas on joint research, laboratory development, academic exchange, student engagement, and industry–academia partnerships to support innovation and the practical implementation of AI technologies. The session concluded with a shared commitment to continue communication and pursue future collaborative initiatives that strengthen research, innovation, and the advancement of AI and robotics across academia and industry.
