BINUS Graduate Program and BDSRC Strengthen International Collaboration with Debre Markos University
On Monday, 27 July 2026, the BINUS Graduate Program (BGP) and the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC) conducted a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on International Research Network (IRN) Collaboration with Debre Markos University, Ethiopia. The discussion focused on exploring opportunities for academic cooperation, research collaboration, and strengthening international partnerships, particularly within the Master of Computer Science Study Program under BINUS Graduate Program.
The session was led by Prof. Dr. Sani Muhamad Isa, Director of BINUS Graduate Program, and attended by Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Head of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC). Prof. Sani was accompanied by I Gede Putra Kusuma Negara, B.Eng., Ph.D., Head of the Master of Computer Science Study Program, and Prof. Abba Suganda Girsang, S.T., M.Cs., Ph.D., Research Coordinator. The discussion was attended by lecturers and researchers from BINUS University and Debre Markos University, with Debre Markos researchers joining virtually to discuss research development, academic collaboration, and future partnership opportunities.
Through this FGD, both institutions explored potential research synergies in areas related to computer science, artificial intelligence, bioinformatics, and interdisciplinary research. The collaboration is expected to strengthen BINUS University’s international research network and create sustainable opportunities for joint research initiatives, academic exchanges, collaborative publications, and global academic engagement.
