Monitoring and Evaluation of BINUS–INSTIPER Research Collaboration
On 18–20 November 2025, BINUS University Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC) and INSTIPER Yogyakarta conduct a monitoring and evaluation (monev) series regarding ongoing research collaborations in agriculture, climate, and forestry. Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Head of BDSRC, representing BINUS University, is accompanied by BDSRC research associate Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, M.Kom., research assistant Matthew Martianus Henry, S.Kom., and Yogyakarta regional research coordinator Teddy Suparyanto, S.Pd., M.T.I.
The monev session for agricultural research is held on 18 November 2025 at the INSTIPER Rector’s Office. Rector of INSTIPER, Dr. Ir. Harsawardana, M.Eng., welcomes the BDSRC team. He then presents the progress of the engineering team. In the afternoon, a climate research evaluation meeting is conducted with Erick Firmansyah, S.P., M.Sc., INSTIPER faculty member who serves as the coordinator for climate research collaboration from INSTIPER. Both teams mainly discuss about the expansion of oil palm sampling location.
On 19 November 2025, the BDSRC team conducts a site visit at Stiper Edu Agro Tourism (SEAT) greenhouse in Ungaran, Semarang. This greenhouse serves as the location used by the INSTIPER team for data collection. The final monev session on forestry research is then held on 20 November 2025 with the INSTIPER Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, Dr. Ir. Rawana, M.P., along with two faculty members: Dr. Ir. Agus Setyarso, M.Sc., and Nanda Satya Nugraha, S.Hut., M.Sc. The main topic of the M&E revolves around the development of database for supporting forest health.
All sessions concluded with both institutions agreeing on the 2026 research output roadmap, fostering continued collaboration across agriculture, climate, and forestry research innovation.
