Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean Included in The Top 2% Global Scientist: A Continual Achievement
Following his recognition from the Sarwono Award, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, the Head of BDSRC, receives another prestigious award, as he is included in the Top 2% Scientist global list released by Elsevier and Stanford University. The ranking indicator is based on citations (self-citations not included) and research impact in the interdisciplinary fields. In the selection process, the researchers are grouped into 22 scientific fields and 174 scientific sub-fields based on Science-Metrix standards. The selection is then applied to 100.000 top researchers according to the citation score and the top 2% percentile in interdisciplinary sub-fields. This award has two categories: Single Year Impact 2024 – 2025 category and Career-Long Impact category. The Single Year Impact 2024 – 2025 represents researchers who are included in the top 2% for their contributions in their scientific field over a specific year, while the Career-Long Impact category represents those who are consistently included in the top 2% over extended years, a testament of their broad research impact.
Among the selected researchers in the Single Year Impact 2024 – 2025 category, 150 are from Indonesia. In the Career-Long Impact category, the competition is tougher, with only 40 from Indonesia. Among them, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean is included in both categories and is the sole representative from BINUS University in the Career-Long Impact category. This distinction represents his commitment to research excellence, as he has continued to secure the position of the Top 2% Global Scientist since last year.
Congratulations, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean! May your research spirit always inspire us all.
