Empowering Students for Excellence in Research and Publication at BINUS University @Semarang

On Monday, 12 October 2026, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Director of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), delivered a session titled “Empowering Students for Excellence in Research and Publication” at the atrium of BINUS University @Semarang. The session was attended by 50 students participating in Research Enrichment, Community Development, and Entrepreneurship programs and moderated by Nur Sitha Afrilia, S.S., M.S.. Prof. Bens Pardeman highlighted the importance of developing research capabilities, exploring the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and translating innovative ideas into meaningful contributions. He continued the discussion in a classroom session with 20 fifth-semester Computer Science students enrolled in the Mobile Capstone Project course taught by Dr. Prabowo Wahyu Sudarno. He emphasized that the rapid development of AI is transforming the professional landscape, creating both challenges and opportunities for students who remain curious, continuously learn, and actively explore emerging technologies. He also encouraged students to embrace experimentation, build collaborative networks, and remain adaptable to technological innovation, enabling them to prepare for an evolving job market and contribute to shaping the future of technology.
