BINUS University and Trisakti University Strengthen Academic Collaboration Through International Guest Lecture

On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, Trisakti University, as the local host of the BINUS – Usakti Visiting Professor Programme, organized a hybrid International Guest Lecture entitled “Cultural Heritage, Responsible Artificial Intelligence, and Inclusive Digital Transformation.” The event featured Zewdie Mossie Erunekh, Ph.D., Assistant Professor from the Department of Information Technology, Debre Markos University, Ethiopia, as the guest speaker. Conducted in a hybrid format, the lecture was attended by students and lecturers from Trisakti University, and researchers from BINUS University. 

The program commenced with opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Ir. Rianti Dewi Sulamet-Ariobimo, S.T., M.Eng., Dean of the Faculty of Industrial Technology, Trisakti University, followed by remarks from Prof. Bens Pardamean, Head of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), BINUS University. In his remarks, Prof. Bens emphasized the importance of continuing the Visiting Professor Programme as a platform for strengthening international research collaboration, academic exchange, and joint publications between BINUS University, Trisakti University, and Debre Markos University. 

Moderated by Anung B. Ariwibowo, M.Kom., the guest lecture explored the theme of “Cultural Heritage, Responsible Artificial Intelligence, and Inclusive Digital Transformation.” During the session, Zewdie Mossie Erunekh, Ph.D. shared insights into the current landscape of artificial intelligence, highlighting its opportunities, challenges, and the importance of responsible AI in supporting inclusive digital transformation. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, providing participants with an opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on artificial intelligence and future academic collaboration.
