MoA Signing Between BINUS University and Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto
On Thursday, 16 July 2026, BINUS University officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto to strengthen research collaboration in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). BINUS University was represented by Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Head of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), who represented Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer. The MoA was signed by the Rector of Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berlilana, M.Kom., M.Si., marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to advance AI research and innovation between the two institutions.
The event commenced with an opening speech by the Rector of Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Berlilana, M.Kom., M.Si., who expressed his full support for the collaboration as part of the university’s commitment to achieving excellence in education, research, and innovation. Representing BINUS University, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean shared several key principles for building a successful research ecosystem. He emphasized that impactful research requires strong institutional support, active leadership to drive research initiatives, continuous collaboration among researchers, and meaningful involvement of students in research activities.
Following the signing ceremony, an implementation meeting was conducted to develop a collaborative research roadmap between the two institutions. The meeting was led by Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, M.Kom. and attended by Bagus Adhi Kusuma, S.T., M.Eng., Head of the Intelligent Systems Research Center, and Dr. Ir. Fandy Setyo Utomo, S.Kom., M.Cs., IPM., Head of the Informatics Study Program at Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto. One of the key initiatives discussed was the establishment of a Research Internship Program for Universitas AMIKOM Purwokerto students, aimed at strengthening collaborative research and providing students with hands-on experience in Artificial Intelligence research.
