Artificial Intelligence-Based Shrimp Larvae Detection and Automated Counting (FPIK Universitas Jenderal Soedirman)
This project is conducted in collaboration between BDSRC and the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, to develop an artificial intelligence-based system for automatic shrimp larvae detection and counting. The research utilizes computer vision and deep learning techniques to identify shrimp larvae from microscopic or imaging data and estimate their quantity with high accuracy. The developed approach aims to reduce the time and human effort required for manual counting while improving consistency and reliability in hatchery operations. The resulting system is expected to support aquaculture production by enabling efficient monitoring of shrimp larvae populations and assisting decision-making in hatchery management.
