MoA Signing Between BINUS University and Universitas Syedza Saintika
On Wednesday, 29 April 2026, BINUS University and Universitas Syedza Saintika officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), marking the beginning of a strategic research collaboration in the development and application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare in Padang, West Sumatra. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing innovative, data-driven solutions that can address real-world medical challenges and improve healthcare outcomes.
The event was opened by the Rector of Universitas Syedza Saintika, Dr. Gusliani Eka Putri, M.Si., who expressed her enthusiasm for the collaboration. In her remarks, she emphasized the importance of integrating emerging technologies, particularly AI, into the healthcare sector. She conveyed her hope that this partnership would lead to impactful and sustainable research, especially in addressing complex medical cases through intelligent and evidence-based approaches.
Representing BINUS University, Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, Director of the Bioinformatics and Data Science Research Center (BDSRC), participated in the signing ceremony, representing Prof. Dr. Juneman Abraham, Vice Rector of Research and Technology Transfer. Following the formal agreement, he delivered a lecture titled “Building Impactful Healthcare Research Using Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.” In his presentation, he highlighted the critical role of healthcare data as the foundation for developing effective AI models, emphasizing the importance of high-quality, well-managed, and ethically governed data to support reliable insights and clinical decision-making.
This collaboration is expected to open new opportunities for joint research, knowledge exchange, and innovation in the field of digital health, ultimately contributing to better healthcare services and outcomes for the wider community.
