Potential Research Collaboration: HUMIC-ENG Visit to BDSRC
On 7th January 2025, BDSRC hosts a visit from Telkom University Human Centric Engineering Research Center (HUMIC-ENG) in BINUS @Kemanggisan. Their visit is intended to strengthen the bond for collaboration between BDSRC and HUMIC-ENG. The representations from HUMIC-ENG in this visit are Associate Prof. Dr. Satria Mandala, Associate Prof. Dr. Putu Harry Gunawan, Muhammad Ridha, M.T., Amila Nafila Vidyana, M.I.Kom, and Selvi Novitasari, S.Ak.
Since no research collaboration has been conducted previously, both BDSRC and HUMIC-ENG first introduced themselves. Fitya Syarifa Mozar introduces BDSRC as BDSRC’s senior researcher. Ir. Kuncahyo Setyo Nugroho, BDSRC’s research assistant, continued the BDSRC introduction by promoting the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute (DLI) Ambassador workshop. As the head of HUMIC-ENG, Associate Prof. Dr. Satria Mandala proudly presents HUMIC-ENG afterward, starting with the HUMIC-ENG profile, research topics, research products, and publication records. The discussion flows into research opportunity, where HUMIC-ENG proudly presents arrhythmia detection from medical images as its current research core. They also present to BDSRC the Gizi Balita web for stunting control. Since it is similar to the BDSRC stunting research topic, BDSRC responsively presents StuntingDB, one of BDSRC’s research products in stunting research.
The agenda of this meeting is only an introduction. Therefore, the discussion has not reached to a consensus on creating a research collaboration Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). Nevertheless, both research centers have shown interest in collaborating, with HUMIC-ENG offering a Telkom University conference discount if a MoA is signed.
