miRNA SARS CoV-2 Identification in Indonesia
This research project in collaboration with dr. Agus Rahmadi, M.Biomed., MA., and dr.Ismaily Fasha, M.Ked (ORL-HNS), Sp.THT from the Faculty of Medicine, Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA University. The method applied was genomic data mining to predict SARS CoV-2 miRNA in Indonesia from GISAID and NCBI data of 38 RNA sequences dated September 13, 2020.
The SARS CoV-2 RNA sequences obtained were predicted to be analyzed using bioinformatics software. The target of this project is to obtain miRNA profiles detected from SARS CoV-2 samples in Indonesia, which hopefully can be used as a treatment target for COVID-19 in Indonesia. Later, this study will be extended by establishing collaboration with Genetics Indonesia to utilize their data.
