Monitoring Research Project with SMARTD
In the research and development domain, monitoring activity is needed for tracking R&D progress systematically. It is necessary to determine if the research is on track or not and helping the stakeholders to make decision. SMARTD is a research project by BDSRC that recently enhanced to focused on project monitoring.
BDSRC initiated the development of SMARTD (Sustainable Management of Agricultural Research and Technology Dissemination) on 2015. The system covered four major components namely human resource development and management, development of infrastructure and facilities, research management and policy support, and project management-monitoring-evaluation. In 2018, SMARTD is completed in the form of web-based application to ensure the effectiveness in the whole program. SMARTD has successfully implemented to all units under IAARD (Indonesian Agency for Agricultural Resarch and Development) for daily reporting.
