Data Management and Analysis System for Genome-Wide Association Study
Genetic studies are underway to catalog and understand genetic diversity in crop and animals and to identify genetic variants predictive of economically important traits (e.g. yield, resistance to disease). The high-throughput genotyping and sequencing technologies used in these studies produce large amounts of complex data. Agriculture geneticist are faced with numerous computational obstacles with storing, processing, and analyzing genetic and phenotypic data.
Objective: to develop a system for large-scale genetic association studies in rice and bovine which aims to simplify and automate many of the routine data management and analysis tasks.
