Prof. Esyin Chew

Prof. Esyin Chew is the Reader (Professor without chair) in Robotics and Educational Technologies, Cardiff Metropolitan University, a truly interdisciplinary researcher. She is the Director and Founder of the EUREKA Robotics Centre, one of the 11 specialist robotics centres in the UK for research facilities, and she has also led a few governments, universities’ and industrial funded projects from the EU, Australia, South East Asia and the UK. She is a creative academic investigating humanoid service robotics with machine learning capability for impact case studies that attracted national press and media. Esyin supervises more than 12 PhDs, provides consultancy and training workshops such as service and social robots for healthcare, hospitality & tourism, and the education sector with data analytics and visualisation capabilities, personal response systems and Turnitin-GradeMark-PeerMark.
