Afriyanti Sumboja, Ph.D

Afriyanti, Ph.D is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Materials Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Indonesia. She received her bachelor and PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore, in 2009 and 2014, respectively. She was the recipient of the 2014 MSE doctorate research excellence award, presented by the School of Materials Science and Engineering, NTU. Afriyanti joined A*STAR Institute of Materials Research and Engineering Singapore as a scientist in late 2014 after short postdoctoral research with her PhD advisor, Prof. Lee Pooi See. In 2018, Afriyanti decided to return home and contribute to higher education in Indonesia by joining Institut Teknologi Bandung.
Afriyanti has 1 US patent and has published more than 50 scientific papers (h-index > 32) in several high-impact journals. Her research interests include the synthesis and characterization of materials for energy storage devices and other electrochemical-based applications.
