Dr. Nesti Fronika Sianipar, S.P., M.Sc., earned her bachelor's degree in 1995 from the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of North Sumatra. Her master's degree was awarded in 1998 from Bogor Agricultural University's Plant Biotechnology Masters Program and her doctorate in 2008 from Bogor Agricultural University's Doctoral Program in Plant Biotechnology. In addition to conducting research, she also writes articles in numerous global scientific journals indexed by Scopus. Some of these journals include the HAYATI Journal of Biosciences, the Journal of Tropical Agricultural Science, and the Journal of Technology. Since 2011, she has consistently conducted research on gamma-irradiated rodent tubers (Typhonium flagelliforme Lodd.) to find superior mutant varieties and increase bioactive compounds that have therapeutic effects on cancer. Since 2008, she has been a lecturer at Pelita Harapan University. Currently, she is in charge of Bina Nusantara University's Research Interest Group on Food Biotechnology. In collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, several universities have initiated research collaborations - BB Biogen, Bogor, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Padjadjaran University, Bandung, Research Center for Biotechnology LIPI, Cibinong, and Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Jember.
