Food Biotechnology Research Center (FBRC) conducted a research visit to the Center for Genetic Engineering Research, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), as an initial step toward the realization of the approved RIIM 2026 collaborative research project focusing on rodent tuber (Typhonium flagelliforme<\/em>).<\/p>\n

During the visit, the FBRC team had discussions with BRIN researchers, including Dr. Rikno Harmoko, S.P., M.Sc., Reflinur, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D., and Dr. Muhammad Dylan Lawrie, S.Si. The meeting focused on research strategies, technical preparation, and collaborative planning for the implementation of advanced molecular approaches, including de novo sequencing and transcriptomic analysis of keladi tikus.<\/p>\n

The discussion covered research workflow, sequencing strategies, bioinformatics analysis, and potential integration of genomic and transcriptomic approaches to characterize molecular pathways and genetic information of T. flagelliforme. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the application of biotechnology approaches in exploring the potential of keladi tikus as a valuable plant bioresource.<\/p>\n

This visit marks an important milestone in the preparation and execution of the RIIM 2026 project and demonstrates FBRC\u2019s commitment to advancing collaborative research with national institutions in the fields of plant biotechnology, genomics, and molecular research.<\/p>\n
