The Food Biotechnology Research Center proudly participated in BINUS Engineering Week (BEW) 2026, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, BINUS University, at the Anggrek Campus, Kemanggisan.<\/p>\n

As part of the Technology Exhibition, the research center showcased its innovative biotechnology-based products developed through ongoing research initiatives focusing on functional foods and natural health products.<\/p>\n

Among the featured products were:<\/p>\n

Rodent Tuber (Typhonium flagelliforme) Supplement<\/strong><\/p>\n

A functional herbal supplement developed from Typhonium flagelliforme, commonly known as rodent tuber or \u201cKeladi Tikus,\u201d which has been extensively studied for its potential anticancer properties. The product represents the center\u2019s commitment to translating scientific research into applicable health innovations with potential societal benefits.<\/p>\n

Torpedo Banana Product<\/strong><\/p>\n

The exhibition also introduced products derived from Torpedo Banana, highlighting its potential as a valuable local agricultural resource with promising applications in food biotechnology and functional food development.<\/p>\n

Through participation in BEW 2026, the Food Biotechnology Research Center aims to strengthen collaboration between academia, industry, and the wider community while promoting sustainable innovation in biotechnology and food science.<\/p>\n

The event provided an excellent platform to disseminate research outcomes, encourage interdisciplinary collaboration, and explore future opportunities for product development and commercialization.<\/p>\n
