The benchmarking visit was attended by Dr. Nesti F. Sianipar, S.P., M.Si, and Khoirunnisa Assidqi S.Pi., M.Si as part of the FBRC BINUS research team. The UGM Faculty of Biology welcomed the FBRC team warmly and kindly. The visit was received by the Dean of the Faculty of Biology UGM, Prof. Dr. Budi Setiadi Daryono, M.Agr.Sc., Deputy Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation and Alumni Dr. Eko Agus Suyono, M.App.Sc., Deputy Dean for Finance, Assets and Human Resources Dr. Slamet Widiyanto, M.Sc., and Head of the Department of Tropical Biology Abdul Razaq Chasani, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D. The Faculty of Biology UGM explained the profile, history, facilities, and focus of teaching education at the Faculty of Biology UGM and conveyed the potential for joint research collaboration and joint publications that could be implemented. As part of the collaboration, young BINUS lecturers who will continue their studies at UGM Faculty of Biology can pursue a doctoral degree through the PhD by research program, which can contribute to improving the quality of BINUS teaching staff. This program will also provide an opportunity for the UGM Faculty of Biology to gain more expertise and experience in teaching.
