On 9 October 2024, Bioinformatics & Data Science Research Center (BDSRC) proudly hosts a visitation and productive meeting with its esteemed collaborator, PT Mega Medica Pharmaceuticals (MMP) at Bina Nusantara University @Anggrek Campus. The event led by the Director of MMP, Drs. Sutristo, along with ten managers, while the BDSRC team attended by seven researchers with two senior researchers represented Prof. Dr. Bens Pardamean, the Head of BDSRC. The gathering bring together leading researchers and executives to discuss on-going researches and explore more prospective collaborations.<\/p>\n

The agenda focuses on current research regarding stunting in Donggala Regency, highlighting the urgent need for effective data collection and data management during government supplementation program. Participants share insights into the underlying possible obstacles during the research and the proposing some importance solutions for mitigation. In addition, the meeting also explores collaborative research opportunities centered on the health of pregnant women in Makassar. This initiative aims to monitor the outcomes of supplementation initiating by the local government. Additionally, the meeting addresses the importance of equipping the management team at MMP with advanced technological skills on artificial intelligence (AI). A plan is set for future training sessions aims to empower the pharmaceutical company to leverage AI in its operations.<\/p>\n

Both BDSRC BINUS and MMP express enthusiasm about the potential for impactful collaborations in the future. The discussions are expected to pave the way for further partnerships that will benefit the health sector in Indonesia. \u201cThis meeting marks a significant step toward fostering collaboration between academic research and industry practices,\u201d said Drs. Sutristo, Director of PT Mega Medica Pharmaceuticals.<\/p>\n
