ICOBAR 2025

About ICOBAR 2025

We are thrilled to announce the 7th edition of the International Conference on Biospheric Harmony (ICOBAR), hosted at BINUS University in collaboration with the Ikatan Ilmuwan Indonesia Internasional (I4). This year, we are embracing the theme “Global Synergy for Biospheric Resilience: Integrating Science, Innovation, and Sustainable Action,” and we have created an excitingunified platform called ‘A Joint Forum by ICOBAR & FIDI (Indonesian Diaspora Scientific Forum).’ This partnership sets the stage for an inspiring scientific gathering focused on enhancing global sustainability practices.

Ikatan Ilmuwan Indonesia Internasional (I4) plays a crucial role in fostering meaningful collaboration among Indonesian scientists, both locally and from the diaspora, alongside various stakeholders in academia. This strategic alliance aims to facilitate dynamic two-way communication, strengthen the scientific community, and enhance partnerships across national and international networks. By combining the strengths of ICOBAR with the extensive reach of I4, we are cultivating an enriching environment for comprehensive scientific dialogue and collaboration.

Scheduled for August 23-24, 2025, this year’s joint forum adopts a hybrid participation model, allowing a broader audience to engage in essential discussions surrounding the critical concept of biospheric harmony. Our collaborative approach not only amplifies Indonesia’s contributions to global sustainability efforts but also brings together renowned researchers, innovators, and policymakers from both Indonesia and the international Indonesian diaspora.

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this forum aims to tackle urgent environmental challenges through international cooperation. “Global Synergy for Biospheric Resilience” seeks to ignite a vibrant exchange of scientific knowledge, groundbreaking technologies, and sustainable practices. By integrating ICOBAR’s foundation with FIDI’s global network, we aspire to create new pathways for collaborative research and contribute to impactful solutions for the planet’s sustainability.

We are dedicated to providing an interactive and enlightening space for meaningful engagement. The forum will feature keynote addresses from esteemed figures at BINUS University, I4, and the global scientific community. Attendees can look forward to panel discussions and breakout sessions, offering numerous opportunities to share insights and work towards mutual goals for a resilient and sustainable future. This collaboration aims to enrich discussions and foster impactful partnerships, driving significant outcomes in the area of biospheric harmony.

We warmly invite researchers, practitioners, industry leaders, representatives from research institutions, R&D enterprises, and members of the global Indonesian diaspora to embark on this significant intellectual journey with us. We encourage submissions of original, unpublished papers that resonate with our theme, “Global Synergy for Biospheric Resilience: Integrating Science, Innovation, and Sustainability,” within the framework of ‘Global Science Harmony: A Joint Forum by ICOBAR & FIDI.’ This event offers a unique opportunity for knowledge sharing, international collaboration, and advancing a global conversation towards a more resilient future through integrated scientific and innovative efforts, significantly contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
