Plastic products are very useful, but there are adverse effects from the use of it. Therefore consumer must know and understand which plastic products that are safe for use, ie taking into account the code mentioned on the plastic products. There are many factors that influenced people's
knowledge and behavior towards the use of plastic product, such as education level. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between education and the behavior of people in the use of plastic products. We use primary data from a survey towards the participants of the plastic code socialization activity. Furthermore, analyzes are implemented to determine whether there are differences of people's knowledge before and after the socialization activities. Nonparametric method, namely Chi Square test and Wilcoxon are used as an alternative for parametric methods when some assumptions are unfulfilled. Based on Chi-Square test of α = 15%, it is concluded that there is a
relationship between the recent education and behaviors of participants for use plastic for hot food. Wilcoxon test α=5% concludes that there are differences in people's knowledge before and after socialization of plastic code activity.
