Trash is one of the causes of air pollution. Placement of trash cans in a location or region is very important in optimizing cleanliness and their functionality. By determining the optimal placement points of the trash can, it could be expected that the people will no longer litter and therefore minimizing air pollution levels. This paper discusses a simulation to determine the optimal placement points of the trash cans by using genetic algorithms. Calculations are performed with the aid of a computer program to simplify and speed up the process. This simulation program will generate coordinates of trash can placement points among already existing trash cans.
